Voted Best Massage Therapy Clinic 2017

Ronalyn Velasco, R.M.T.
Registered Massage Therapist

I have been a Registered Massage Therapist since August 2017.

Since I can remember, I have been interested in Massage Therapy. The countless massage techniques used to heal the human body with manual therapy is what persuaded me to become a RMT.

When I notice that a client has found relief from their symptoms through massage therapy and remedial exercise it makes me feel fulfilled because they are taking control of their ability to heal themselves. The body has a natural way of healing itself and we should take the time to listen to what our bodies are telling us.

Before becoming an RMT, I graduated from George Brown College from both Fashion Design along with Baking and Pastry Arts Management. I have managed to continue with baking; catering and creating birthday/wedding cakes is a true passion of mine. When I’m not massaging or studying, you can always find me in the kitchen baking something sweet.

Although my career as an RMT has just started I am beyond excited to further my knowledge through this journey and educate more patients about the benefits of Massage Therapy.

I received my RMT training at The Canadian School of Massage and Hydrotherapy.

Here is a list of a few techniques that I use:

  • Myofascial Trigger point therapy
  • Fascial release
  • Frictions
  • Joint mobilization
  • Proprioceptive techniques
  • Range of motion
  • Stretching
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Lymphatic drainage

If you suffer with any of the conditions listed below, you might benefit from a treatment with me.

  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Overuse injuries
  • Head and neck
  • Postural, fascial, and muscle imbalances
  • Joint dysfunctions
  • Nerve lesions
  • Respiratory
  • Central and peripheral nervous system
